CARNIVAL CRUISE

We had been looking forward, saving and planning for our Spring Break week for months. We decided on a 5-night cruise out of New Orleans to the Western Caribbean (Costa Maya and Cozumel ports of call).

Our boys just did NOT do well at all when they were bombarded with so much continual wickedness. The alcohol, horrible music, smoking, cursing, gambling and scantily-clothed females do not a good situation for hormonally-endowed young Christian boys make! We just simply did not think that it would be such an awful environment for them.
It was a constant battle and those circumstances brought a lot of grief and stress to Vaughn and I. We were not able to rise above the situation and sad to say, but we had a pretty lousy time, ourselves.
The best part (other than our awesome food service and stewards) was our off-ship excursion to Cozumel. We went to an Adventure Park that had rock climbing, reppelling, zip lines and snorkelling - that was my favorite part.

I was able to get some great pictures. I could not believe the gorgeous water! The many different shades of blue; azure to turquoise to navy to indigo to cobalt to sapphire. It really was amazing to me.

SEE!!! Isn't it beautiful?!?!

I think that their artwork, the scenery, and their jewelry was really pretty. I think I took more pictures of inanimate things than I did of the boys (I didn't like them very much at the time!!)
Well, that's about it. I could upload a lot more pictures, but I think you get the general idea.
Soooooooo glad to be back in "Sweet Home Alabama!!!"

*~*GETTING FIT AND HEALTHY*~*

I had an appointment with a personal trainer at our gym yesterday. She started out gathering information about me; weight, height, age, etc. After some calculating, she gave me information about myself; how much body fat I have, how much body fat I should have and how long the process will take to achieve this goal. ONE YEAR! One whole year of working out 3 days a week; upper body and cardio, lower body and cardio, weight training and cardio. AND THIS IS AFTER I JUST LOST 40 POUNDS!!!! (Really glad that I didn't go in prior to losing it...that would have been really depressing!)

THEN, she worked me on my upper body. Oh my! Could I "feel the burn!" The trouble is, I am still "feeling the burn" this morning! Just kidding, I really know that the pain that I am feeling is a good thing; it shows that I am one baby step closer to being fit and staying healthy.

So, here I go on another adventure; this one to seek and find new life and health! Weeeeeeeeee! I am sure this ride is gonna be bumpy!
