416 Hastings Street

This is our "new" house. It has been sitting empty for nearly a year and is need of lots of TLC!

This is the front door and a really bad
picture of me in the door's reflection!

This is the dining room looking

towards the living room.

This is the room that we have

chosen for our bedroom.

The living room.

The den looking towards the kitchen.

The very-much-in-need-of-a-makeover-little-kitchen looking from the living room.

Our retro bathroom and bedroom number 2.

Bedroom number 3 and bathroom number 2/laundry room.

Some backyard shots

The enclosed patio and another backyard shot.

Well, enough is enough....I think you get the general idea about what the place looks like. It needs a lot of cosmetic work, but the basic structure is sound. We are on a double corner lot and the house itself is 2230 sf. The other building pictured is a little storage building. It is pretty rough inside, but who knows....

Gee, it's nifty - Vaughn is 50!!!

Yep - I am officially married to an OLD MAN! hehe Thing is, Vaughn is more sexy, loving and a better man than 29 years ago and definitely more than most other guys I have ever met!

We got the night out (due to some very nice friends who took our 4 boys for the evening for us - thanks Amy and Matt!!!). We met Bethany, Joseph and Jonathan at Lone Star down in Trussville. It was a really great meal - you gotta try their signature lettuce wedge with blue cheese dressing - out of this world! Had Vaughn and I so enthralled, that the steaks were not even an issue! (we don't get out much).

Anyway, Jonathan was his usual fun boy. Nana introduced him to lemons. His expressions were SO funny...we thought he didn't like it, but he kept coming back for more!

LONG TIME NO BLOG!

It has been two months since I last blogged. Soooo much has happened since then....school ended with 2 of our boys graduating from 6th grade. We had a week vacation, we found out that Bethany and Joseph are expecting baby #2 in late January/early February. And, among all of the other goings-ons, I got sick with another weird thing...of course!

I developed staph infection along my jawline. It was absolutely horrific. I am pleased to say that I am now doing MUCh better, but it was really a terrible thing to go through. Sorry, the pictures are not for the faint of heart.
