Aidan, Adam, Me, Kate and Vaughn in the back
and Amy, Bethany, Jonathan and Joseph up front
I hope your holidays were wonderful! So many times I have huge expectations that don't get met. I am not really sure why this year was different. Could it be maturity? Probably not, but it sure sounds good!!! We spent much of the time from 12/24 until 1/2 with our kids and their kids! We didn't go out and do a whole lot, we spent a lot of the time just hanging out at our house or Bethany and Joseph's house. I caught myself tearing up on Christmas day when I was sitting and enjoying just having our family all together! We have so much to be thankful for. Watching Aidan and Jonathan interact was so fun! Seeing our grown kids and their spouses enjoying each other so much was also terrific to get to witness. We did miss the rest of the family (Van Liews and Bonsacks), but our days were filled with fun and laughter and will be remembered as one of my favorites.
